😳

Had a weird experience yesterday.

I’m working on some email sequences for the agency, and I was digging into one of our client’s email accounts.

We recently started experimenting with sending short emails that ask a specific, open-ended question.

And one of these had been layered into a post-purchase sequence.

It looked an awful lot like the Gainer email.

Now… I did not invent the Gainer email.

Or at least, I’m not the only one who came up with sending this kind of email.

But seeing it — or something like it — being used is always a little weird.

I always wonder, a little bit, where they first saw the idea.

I always wonder, a little bit, if they heard about my version.

Maybe that’s cocky or obnoxious.

(About as cocky and obnoxious as promoting something named after myself?)

But seeing my little idea put into play by a multi-million-dollar company…

I dunno, it’s kinda cool… whether they came to that idea through me or not.

If you don’t know what the Gainer email is yet, you can check it out here… pretty sure I worked out the kinks:
