slow day

Bit of a late start today — I’ve decided to more or less take today off.

It’s been a good day for noticing things.

It rained a lot this week, and the river was high and fast.

Looked kinda like chocolate milk, what with all the silt and red clay being stirred up.

There was a group of people tromping down the highway, the guy in front carrying a giant wooden cross and a sheriff vehicle
pulling up the rear.

That was weird. Took me a minute to remember it’s Good Friday today.

And yet, despite 2 days of wind and rain, everything was coated in a layer of pollen this morning.

North Carolina in the spring, I guess.

I’ve decided to refrain from noticing all the leftovers containers in my fridge that I need to empty out and wash…

And there’s one thing I can’t miss:
